Which button is for making droid zap

Star Wars Battlefront II (PC)

1) Access for playing:
I purchased and installed the game yesterday. When I opened it there was no mouse pointer and no keyboard commands would allow access to the menu at the top left of the screen. I contacted support. The tech had me set the properties of the exe file to administrator and thee game worked. I started playing but was unable to continue for reasons noted below. Today, I opened the game and the same happened as before. I went to properties to see run * ad min was no longer checked although I had applied the change the night before, so I did it again which worked. I attempted once more to play since I had checked in the game mahual to find a possible solution, but had the same problem. I closed the game (which has to be done by opening Windows Start Menu, going to the taskbar and using the icon or going to task manager), then restarting the game. Again, no mouse pointer. I closed the game, went to properties, administration privilege is checked. I reopened the game, no mouse pointer. Thus, I now cannot play the game at all.

2) Gameplay:

I am in the initial part of the game flying the small droid to go to IDon. In info I read about and on Youtube videos I see the droid zapping enemies. However, I am unable to get this to happen. I fly directly behind the character with an icon above its head, but nothing happens. I have tried melee commands, l/r/m mouse commands but nothing works. I have reviewed the game manual but find nothing specifically relating to this. How do I get this to work. Without it, I cannot proceed in the game.

    Hey @IMPopeye45

Can I ask if you're using Discord on your PC? 🤔 This might be connected with your mouse and keyboard issue, so if the answer is 'yes', I would recommend to disable its in-game overlay.

When it comes to using the droid's electro-shock, you should be able to see in the HUD, which button you have to use. In my case it would be '3' 😉 Also make sure that the whole bar is charged, otherwise you won't be able to use the ability.

I attempted using "3" with no success, why I tried every other type of "melee" key/combination I am aware of. I am using Origin, although, because of another game, I have Discord but don't as far as I know, have it connected to this game.

I was able to get past the stalling point in the game but the droid zapper feature never worked. I have finished the game and have seen a few other abilities activated by Q, E, F, etc. not functioning in some episodes but they do in others.

I have discovered, the issue with having to run the game with admin permission is one of the problems, but don't understand why I must apply this setting each time I start the game. For some reason, Win10 is not keeping the permission active.

Is it possible to play the game directly from the hard drive or does it need Origin to connect it to the internet?

You don't need Internet connection to play the singleplayer, however logging into Origin is always required before launching SWB2 since the game is tied to your EA account.
