Why did the forums even have to shut down?
What was the point? There are still forums of communities of a dead game or movies to this day. The game dying doesn't mean that the community died along with it, unless thats what you guys want to do...

Content and support has ended for the game now so there's nothing left to discuss really. It was the . . . greater powers way of erasing all complaints. some warranted, some not so warranted.
Maybe they will make a new forum if a battlefront 3 is announced or bring the old one back from the dead.
I believe this is the first major step in EA abandoning star wars
- @C-townladiesman Yes but no..? I don’t think they did it to abandon Star Wars as a whole, but their contract ends in a few years
- @HCarbonic I think its pretty obvious disney will be cutting them loose and has learned not to outsource their franchise to a crappy developer
- @C-townladiesman Their contract would have ended the same time anyway. While BF2 still shouldn’t have been cut short, I still like the game as a whole. There are ups and downs, all games will have their highs and lows. Everyone has their own opinion of how good or bad this game is, and I won’t judge by that.
