Will Battlefront 2 be an eSports game?

Since EA has been trying to get involved with the eSports scene, I feel that Battlefront 2 would be a great addition to the scene. With the Star Wars franchise fan base and other players in the community already loving the game, I feel that making an eSport of the game would attract a lot of attention and increase revenue for EA. Is there any information on whether or not EA is going to have an eSports league for Battlefront 2?

    @hayesn_ I have moved your post to the Battlefront 2 forums. I'm not aware of any plans for Battlefront 2 to be an esports title but I agree that it would be pretty cool to see happen.

    At this point do you know if esports will be in the game.Or atleast private matches because clan battles would be nice to be able to do.

    That's what esports needs, a pay to win structured game where progression and unlocks are locked behind loot boxes lol. I'm not crying pay to win as that has been removed for now however can't hide the fact that this game is built on that structure.

    Well if ea makes a game mode part just for esports without star cards then it can work out. for both heroes v villians and strike.Maybe even blast but it seems to low in competitivity.
