Worst mistake ever done in Battlefront 2.

Can't stress the fact of how overpowered are these 2 factions are in the field. Weapon damage values are off the charts when it comes Empire vs rebels and First Order vs Resistance.

-For instance...A Stormtrooper main weapon will start giving lots of recoil while the rebel counterpart doesn't which brings in a huge inbalance between the basic assault classes.

-Rebel & Resistance heavies are extremely overpowered in terms of damage output and damage intake even when Imperial or First Order units are using the T-21.

-Officers are like minor reinforcements to these 2 factions, while not as overpowered as the rest, still very formidable and can shift the balance of any match.

-Specialist class broken abilities (All infiltration weapons) while Empire and First Order struggle to become formidable infiltrators.

-Rebel and Resistance reinforcements are also extremely OP. Their aerial units acts like buffed snipers, wookie warriors have the slam and thermal imploder that doesn't hurt the unit while the Death Trooper Specialist gets damaged by it's own grenade.

To fix these factions, it's better to add recoil to their weapons so that sustained fire causes accuracy issues to balance things out.

  • @Edairman198526Are you talking about the default weapons for each classes? There shouldn't be any differences stats-wise. If there are, then I missed that because like most other players I stopped using them as soon as I received the first unlock for each class.

The wookie warrior is one of the weakest reinforcements out there because it's main weapon is just not very viable; not that Rebels were lucky with the Ewok either.

The imperial aerial has a really strong modified E-11 too and we don't even need to talk about the FO aerial with his barrage spam from above.

Yes, the aerials generally are the low point of this game with their stupid jetpack but that's because the devs apparently tried inheriting stuff from BF2015.

  • @TRlALON yes, the default weapons. Adding recoil to sustained fire will most likely balance things out in a better way. I Imperial, Republic, CIS, and First Order all have recoil to their main weapons...Rebels and Resistance don't have that.

@Edairman198526So... are you new to the game or just trying to use the weapons for immersion or for the lolz?

I'm playing mainly in first person so I'm doing that sometimes with the default heavy gun because it's just looking great.

Other than that we unfortunately have no good reasons left of using them.

I mean the heavy and assault have unlockable weapons that are just copies of the default ones but with unlocks.

I think they should've implemented the default ones better, like that they're not scrap guns being worse in all stats than the unlockables and also receive unlocks as well.

  • @TRlALON just got off a match of Blast and the inbalances are seen there...Why is that even without hesitation a any Stormtrooper class from the Empire and First Order is made to miss even at CQC combat.
  • I think the biggest crime is the lack of friends only options from when i was a young lad i remember running around tatooine as villans and heroes with my friends fighting eachother listening to jedi rock on high blast

This is sadly not an option in bf2
