And in an incomplete state lacking many features.

EA dropped support and thereby removed the devs from their position. They obviously ran out of time to refine the latest content or to add more as it's seen like e.g. PT Supremacy missing intro and outro screens when boarding the dreadnought.

they checked in update after update for years that made the game worse. no excuses.

Probably 

The game is at least starwars 

Still heaps of bugs and lack of content for trooper players 

But unfortunately like this game there isn't much happening for Starwars fans

Just hope we get a next generation game properly tested and more completed on release next time.
