XBOX Battlefront II Celebration issues
I am hoping someone can definitively answer this question. I see many people having the same issue, but resolutions seem to be all over the board.
I've had Battlefront II on Xbox for quite a while - my 11 year old son plays it. He says to me he wants the Celebration pack upgrade - I buy it from Microsoft, with my account, because I don't know any better - only when it doesn't work do I found out that DLC (downloadable content) can't be shared across profiles. So I log into the Xbox, the content is there. My son logs in, it's not. So then I read an an EA forum that buying the whole Celebration game (not just the upgrade) will work with all profiles (I think this was PS4, but I figured it should be the same with Xbox). Nope. After buying the whole Celebration game, my Xbox profile can access it, but with others, if I try to find it in the store, it says "Battlefront 2 is installed. You can play it or buy the Celebration edition". I get this on other adult profiles, not just my son's.
Is the whole Celebration game considered DLC because I bought it online? I've bought other games online and haven't had an issue. It doesn't make sense to me that I would have to buy the game for every member of my family - is that really the case?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Bill
Hey @zjb2676 DLC such as the Celebration content is only available on the account which purchased the game. While other accounts will be able to access the base game the extras will only be available on the account which purchased them.
For any questions as to how game sharing works on the Xbox, the best thing to do is to speak with Xbox support.
