XBOX Series S / Weapons Don’t Shoot

I’m playing in instant action and start out with a basic trooper. All is fine. My trooper is killed and I prepare to respawn as a Republic Commando, ARC trooper, etc. Their weapons will not fire. This has never been an issue previously and I’ve had this game since it launched on XBOX One. It just started this a few days ago. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, disconnecting and reconnecting to WiFi and other small troubleshooting tactics. Nothing is working.
