Audio troubles in Cutscenes & in-game

I keep getting certain parts of audio cutting out making the cut-scenes play out of sync which is such a shame because I really am getting into the story. It happens frequently in-game too, this includes background music and sound effects (Although it's not persistent). Overall the game is running great on epic and easily surpass the minimum requirements I just would like to know if there is a fix please! I'm also getting small doses of stuttering in odd places of the game but it's not a deal breaker

  • Hey @Demcra,  what kind of audio set up do you have and changing any settings in game help?

  • @Demcra I had a thread regarding this issue. What fixed it for me was hitting repair and a 17 gig file being downloaded.
  • I changed all of the available sound settings but that doesn't seem to be solving it. I just have standard speakers set up and I never seem to encounter sound issues with other games, I do also suffer alot with micro stuttering at times which has got me killed in combat a few times lol, I surpass minimum requirements just maybe a certain graphic setting is making it this way? I've also repaired the game twice on Origin and and updated my drivers etc and that hasn't solved my issues unfortunately, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this point because this is making my first playthrough (about 2 hours in) slightly heartbreaking when audio cuts out and goes out of sync in important cutscenes ☹️ Any tips on the micro-stutters would be awesome because it seems really random at times and really can affect combat. @EA_Atic

  • I never got a 17 gb file :/ Should i reinstall the entire game do you think?

  • I have the same problem on ps4 and the settings can't be change. I think that it be fixed witch a patch

  • I have the same problem .... nothing help.

    Any FIX?

  • i have occasional issues with sound, particularly after playing for several hours straight. it begins with a sound like a pop or crack instead of the sound that should have played, which is occasional and first sign of trouble. however during the weekend, the sound went away almost totally. i could hear footsteps and nothing else, no saber swing or other noise, music was gone.

what i did to fix without going out of the game entirely and reloading was the change the sound settings in game pause menu to 7.1 surround then back to stereo speakers. immediately it changed to 7.1 the sound returned in full, and was still there on stereo when i switched it back.

this workaround will be hard to test unless the sound goes like with me though but hope it helps someone else.

Make sure the headphone peripheral is running in the background.
For SteelSeries headsets -> SteelSeries engine 3
Astro headsets -> Astro Command center.

    You get the deal.

if that doesn't fix the issue, try repairing/reinstalling the game.
