Yes, I tested the Automatic ION cannon in Fleet Battle (Multi-player) and Training mode.
BTW I am playing on PC. 😉
Now, I see your point. My checking was not in Dogfight.
(Y-wing's ION turret is very iconic, I really agree with you!)

Really, it is fixed now? That's great news! I did not see the bug fix listed on the notes for patch 2.0, so I assumed they didn't get to it. I played some Y-wing last night, but had taken to using Goliath Missiles instead of the turret, so I didn't try it.

The Goliath is awesome, too. I've used it mostly for the last two weeks. Regarding the patch notes, yes, the fix isn't listed, but I've played 3 matches yesterday and was really relieved when the cannon started shooting. I suggest you go try it!
