10 years agoVery similar situations have occurred with AMD drivers after several driver upgrades without a cleanup state, resulting in spurious data left behind. If this is more of the same, it will require a Registry cleansing, using a product similar to CCleaner.
In the Windows Device Manager, tell it that the GPU is gone, and it will uninstall the driver. Then, before installing a fresh copy, have CCleaner seek any / all leftovers to remove those once and for all. That should solve this case as it has those similar to it.
