Cannot launch game

What happens when the bug occurs? It was mostly working... Launch game (non VR) - get message saying 'windows will reboot in 1 minute) - get another pop up saying it can't contact the server (internet connection is 100% working) - then another pop up with a link for some trouble shooting web page (link doesn't even launch the browser). PC reboots itself after 1 minute. 2nd time around used to launch the game successfully - now (11/20/2020) I get the same 'windows will reboot in 1 minute' message every time. Verified the game files == OK. As I say it used to work after 1 unsuccessful attempt - now fails every time. I believe both 'working (after 1 fail)' and non-working situations were after the 1.1 update. I think I've only owned the game since the update. Ideas? I'm now stuck with a game I cannot play.
