Cannot see people online in game menu, but see them on origin.

I agree with you dear player,

Me and my numerous friends (playing Dice's SWBF) , we have the same problem, since 7 months. All of my friends are visible on the Origin's list . BUT 20 % of my friends are NOT showing in the menu of StarWar Battlefront .  Why EA proposes to play with friends, if the game program is corrupted , then the customers are unable to play with friends ?

Please note that I tested ALL solutions given from the community without any success. Please EA, repair the game in order to fix all the friends broken links . PLEASE !

I am really sorry for those issues with Star Wars: Battlefront. Was the second PC, you`ve tested the game with, using the same network connection? Have you tried to open corresponding TCP ports? Keep us posted on your progress.

The second PC I have tested has independent network connection. Furthermore, I have tested deleting some friends, that were in the game menu visible either in-game, online, offline or away, as was suggested by an EA help through email. However, the people i have deleted on origin, remained in the in-game menu, which is suggesting that origin and the game are not communicating properly. EA help suggested that they will fix my account, but at the cost of removing all my friends. I would prefer different solution, removing all of my friends would be last solution i would reach for, because, i have my doubts about it solving anything. The solution I am still wondering about, was proposed by my friend, who is using an older version of origin. I have not yet tested that solution.

As I can note, unfortunately, you didn't help the community and offer a decent solution. Since 4 months , you didn't solve the problem. You just posted one answer with few words. BUT I don't doubt about your kindness, devotion and capacity.

Please NOTE that we need help from EA progammers either from the Origin App. or SWBF' Dice program.

Now you ask only if we use a 2nd PC, if we use the same network, if we tried to open corresponding ports, if we tried to withdraw friends from our Origin's List then Re-add them.

I play with 2 PCs in different locations. I use 2 different networks. Of course , I opened the corresponding Ports for Origin, SWBF, etc ..... as required.

I have 18 friends who have the same problem.

They have already given up. They play with "available" friends they find on the SWBF menu.

Personally , I play this game ONLY with friends and a party. If I still can't invite friends in a party, and if I still can't add one of them as a partner then SWBF is useless for me. One friend told me , the issue is occuring to SWBF2 alpha too ! I'm sorry, I will NOT buy SWBF2 if I can't play with all my friends.

The problem has started when the SWBF prog has not been updated since. (jan/feb this year). The App. Origin is being continuously updated with the friends function. Now the SWBF prog does not always understand the data sent by EA Origin, so some new friends are blocked in the menu, thus they are not visible.

Dear EA_Archi, please upload the infos to the EA programmers.

In advance we are very grateful for that. We like the games you produce. We appreciate the amazing work you do everyday. Now , please, update the program in order to make Origin and SWBF communicate as before.

All the situation you mentioned, is exactly the same for me. Icon not showing, Icon of "friends" deleted still showing. You tried to Un-friend and then Re-friend players, this doesn't work. Try to use another network, it fails .

It is obvious that origin and the game are not communicating properly. If EA abandons us, with only nice "words" in the forum, like "Hello, Cheers, try this , try that" THUS we are doomed. And the game is doomed to failure. We are doomed to play SWBF "as is".

If you find an old version of Origin (before Feb 2017) please share the link. Without the help of Origin, I finally think it may be our last solution. A well know youtuber "BattlefrontUpdates" Elliot from Sweden, said DICE and EA do NOT intend to make ANY patch for SWBF. I let you guess in which situation we are. Origin might help us, but Origin creates data for all games produced by EA. I hope that DICE and EA could do a small patch for SWBF.

If something new occured, keep us posted/informed/updated.
