Dialogue Audio Error - PS4

HI all.  Hoping somebody else has had this problem and can offer a potential solution.  Bought Fallen Order on the PS4 (not Pro) yesterday and the dialogue is either not present or I can hear the reverb from it but nothing else.  I have to put subtitles on to follow anything.  I listen on headphones and have set headphones as the audio output in the game but have tried it changing that setting to stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 all with the same problem.  Have tried restarting the game and restarting the PS4 to no avail.  I'm pretty sure the dialogue is present, it's just not optimized properly for headphones, which is weird as it has a specific headphone output option.

Any help much appreciated.

    I would check your headset setup, depending on the headset you're using you may need to adjust or restrict the audio output from the ps4. Try going into Settings - Sound and screen - Audio Output Settings - and make sure the audio format is set to Linear PCM. Once that is done I would unplug the dongle for the headset and plug it back in. Let me know if this works or not as it will depend on the headset you are using.

    Thanks, I'll take a look in there and see if it helps. I'm just using standard headphones plugged into the controller with a 3.5mm connection rather than a gaming headset.
