Directx function ''device'' or Graphics card crash fix

If you had this error, and you have nvidia graphics card, Please try this. it works for me

Here we go.
1. Install the 358.50 Driver, THE GRAPHICS DRIVER ONLY!
2. Reboot!
3. Go Into Nvidia Control Panel
4. Go to manage 3D Settings
5. Select Program Settings tab
6. Select StarWars Battlefront
7. Under Section 3, Specify Settings for this program, Set the Power Management Mode = Prefer Maximum performance. Also Set Shader Cache On
8. Run Star Wars Battlefront!

Hope this helps, its so frustrating when it crashes and wont let you play.

Yes 359.0 Is a terrible driver, im pretty sure now that there is a serious floor in compatibility with battlefront and the latest nvidia drivers. ive got battlefield to work 75% of the time. and i can push my settings easily to medium once the game is running. the problem lies going from from startup screen into main menu.  Hope there is a perminent fix soon

    359 crashes battlefield 4 aswel

  • I think it's worth pointing out here that if you roll back to 355.98, that driver works perfectly and you don't have to do all those extra steps.
