OPEN LETTER to EA -
"Report a Bug" gave me zero options to contact you, instead, redirecting me to your community help page. That for one, is EXTREMELY frustrating. Support forums are the FIRST place I look when I have a problem. Well sure enough, my problem is there, and it's completely unanswered by anyone. Pretty unhelpful. So I go to reddit and look around, google, anywhere, nothing. So I finally turn to contact you, and you send me right back to the damn forums where I started. Can you see my anger? Am I unjustified? I paid $60 for a game that wont work and you drag me through a complex support menu that shoves me into a useless forum.
Other than my issue with you unethical business practice there, I'm having real trouble connecting to any server in Star Wars: Battlefront for the PC. Every time I try to connect I wait for like 3-5 min before it puts me in an empty lobby where I wait in vain for 39 other people to pop in. This has been happening all the time, for multiple game modes. Can you provide me with statistics on the population of your game modes? Are they truly this desolate? Am I the only person in the world trying to connect to a game at that given time? I've already tried opening ports in my router (which i took 2 hours out of my life to teach myself how to do) and it didn't help. I'm using a Linksys router and it only has 10 openings for Port Range Forwarding and I can't enter in each one you recommend (your recommendations are quite confusing, it took me forever to figure out what to do with the block of numbers you provide). Are some ports more important than others? Given that I have 10 slots, what would be your top 10?
Please help me out here, I don't want to feel like an idiot for spending my money on an EA game that I can't play (I can and do play many other online games with no problems whatsoever). I read the back of the game box and it doesn't say anything about Forwarding ports in your router under the game requirements, so I already feel cheated.
