Failed to save game

@Agaso89Mine isn't either; having same problem. I don't want to play if game won't save.

Running HP PC with NVidia 2080TI; cannot locate save files.

Because of this issue my saved files have corrupted

Summarize your bug Well, I rented the game for my birthday and played for a while, game won't save and now the save files are corrupt and it's telling me to start a new game to be able to play even though it has technically saved where I left off.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? My load files should hopefully show this bug. Simply play the game and this bug will eventually happen.
What happens when the bug occurs? Save files corrupt. Saving unavailable
What do you expect to see? The game to save properly and my saved file not to be corrupt. Also I'd like to get a refund of my birthday money I spent on something i can't play where i left off. I'm very disappointed.

I'm hoping someone can please fix the bug that does not allow for saving and ends up corrupting your save file . 

had the same issue on PC.  when i open the game and it goes through its intro with developer logos, it says in a box titled "failed to save game."   "Your game failed to save. Your progress was not recorded."   i have tried reinstalling the game, steam, and origin, with and without cloud saves. i have 2 copies of the game installed at the moment, one downloaded from origin before i reinstalled steam and one through steam. both do not work. i have played through the intro multiple times. Each time the game auto saves,  window pops up saying that my game was not saved. the first 2 meditation circles on Bogano say the same thing when i enter them. the progress i make is still there if i exit to main menu. but as soon as the game is closed, all progress is lost

Having the same issue as everyone else except my save file wasn't corrupted, it just doesn't allow me to save a new file. On Xbox one. Kind of pointless to play the game if it doesn't save my progress. 

Same here. Halfway through the game. Doing fine. Then wham, then the game won't save, and the save game is corrupted. I have very little time to play, and I don't know if I want to be arsed to do it all over again, finding all the secrets, only to risk the same crap happening again. Blech. Not happy. 

Has it worked since then?

Have you found the workout with this? I'm also still having the same issue and it's frustrating. Honestly wanted to subscribe into origin because of the game, and can't play it without saving.

I am having this problem with Xbox series S. I've played 19% of the game and now I can't play it anymore. 

I am having this same problem a year later on the Xbox Series X with Game Pass Ultimate.  Has never once ever successfully saved progress.
