@BluesyMoo Would be a nice mosaik stone to get closer to the unique and still uncontested flight physics of the good old X-Wing & Co. games. However, it would probably add another layer to controler imbalance.

@Darth_GrumpyCat I think this will actually reduce controller imbalance. Say you're heavily invested and you have rudder pedals, simultaneous rolling and yawing costs you nothing because what else are your feet gonna do? Now if you have the standard gamepad, simultaneous rolling and yawing eats up both of your thumbs, so you can forget about targeting or power management. If you use mouse and keyboard, then it locks one finger to a key and you might need to play some finger twisters.
Unless you mean that gamepads or m+k are already superior to HOTASes... which I don't think is the case.
- 5 years ago@Darth_GrumpyCat 'uncontested physics' of the old games? That's just laughable. They only ran at about 20fps so not much in the way of physics was in there. Talk about rose tinted Mandalorian helmet visor!
