Game crashes when learning to drift in campaign

Platform:Sony Playstation 4

Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Other
Please explain 'Other' The game refuses to respond when the "learn to drift" tutorial shows up
What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. I was following the instructions on how to drift. Fly at top speed over the star destroyer.
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. Mission 3. Learn to drift
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 10.10.2020
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
How severe is your issue? Can't play
What happens when the bug occurs? As soon as the "learn to drift" menu pops up the game freezes and nolonger responses to controller input
What do you expect to see? I expect to drift and continue the game
Which ship were you playing? If not applicable, just answer "no" or "none." A wing, the only ship for the mission
What components were you using? The rapid fire blaster as it was already on the awing
Which customizations (if any) were you using? Default

The whole game freezes whe the bar pops up showing you the button inputs to drift.

@Al1tari Okay ... so it crashes as soon as you hit the second marker (the one just behind the bridge) ... so don't touch that. If you go into Controls it'll note 'Shift - Drift (While Boosting)' while the in game dialogue just keeps saying 'press boost while turning hard and you'll drift' ... it's a disconnect between what is being told and how the controls work.

Why dose it say often. I said it happens every time

Same for me happening every time.
Have restarted the ps4 even taken the psvr out the system in case that was the problem

Hey @WindyEdges @Monkey_Mozart could you try to power cycle the console and see if that helps.

Power cycle the PS4 system

Completely turn off the PS4 by holding the power button.

Wait for the power light to stop flashing, then remove the power cable and leave the PS4 system for 20 minutes.

Reconnect the PS4 system and turn it on.

Same thing happens.
Basically as soon as the dialog box appears with the instructions it freezes and you have to shut the game off.
However if you jump the gun of the tutorial and carry out the instructions BEFORE you are given them you can progress.

Having the exact same issue on PC ... some, what, 2 years later than this was originally posted?
