Game crashing randomly
The game constantly crashes. The most I have played is an hour with it not crashing. I get the error and send the code every time. It's extremely frustrating as I get into the game and start to reall...
@MechEmaster Gforce experience is unfortunately notorious for causing issues for new games. And its very normal that you dont have any issues in most game but that one new game.
Thats why I wanted you to uninstall GFE just in case.
However the error you get is related to your graphics driver but it doesnt mean the fix is related to the graphics driver. Too many times have I seen things that seems totally unrelated fix game issues.
Just to verify, you are playing through Steam? Do you have Origin installed and is if you do, is the game present there? If so please clear the origin cache.
I'm not too familiar with how the link between steam and origin is with games bought in steam but I have seen this ealink.exe crashing a lot for people both in this game and the new need for speed game. however it seems your game actually starts while the common issue is that the game wont start at all.
Could you disable any overlays you may use like steam overlay, origin overlay, discord etc?
Also check with Alienware website if there are any new drivers to any component. If so please update whatever new driver they have for your model. This may seem unrelated but I have seen things like resetting bios, updating chipset driver and updating asmedia controller driver cause game crashing to go away.
Also make sure the game installation folder is in your anti virus exclusion list.
Could you also try to adjust your ingame graphic settings. In some games there have been issues related to certain settings. Anthem is the last game I remember having issues where people having ultra on texture filtering crashed and it went away when changing to high (until bioware patched it).
btw, does the game crash if using debug mode on your 2080? If it doesnt crash it means the issue is the OC on he card. debug mode removes factory OC. this is also a very common issue with new games being to sensitive to OC on hardware. it also may be some overheating going on (reference to the thermal controller issue seen in your dxdiag)
In addition you may try this:

But note that the first method means you are tweaking how windows reacts and may cause some freezing and hanging in the games.
@3DiE9djua2 Sorry it has taken me so long to reply as I was finishing up my semester. I have GFE and alienware command center uninstalled so now I use MSI afterburner to regulate temps (thermal controller is gone as well). I tried disabling the overlays, running in debug mode, running at the lowest graphics, as well as making sure everything is up to date and the game still crashes.
I purchased the game through steam but now it seems origin has absorbed the game as I used to be able to verify files through steam and now it won't let me.
I also tried increasing the virtual memory on my C drive but I'm unsure if that will help when the game is downloaded on my D drive because the game is still crashing.
I do wonder if it has something to do with ealink since it's always running in the background when playing games.
@MechEmaster If you have the game in Origin, then use Origin unless you absolutely must use steam. That way ealink shouldn't do anything.
Then you should do repair game through origin which should check the integrity of your files and reinstall the net framework files. These you can also reinstall manually from the game folder.
Also make sure you have the latest game updates as Im sure new patches have been released since last time. Also recheck that you have a newer windows build (1903 at least) and nvidia drivers. As for using win 10 build 1909 I would advice only to upgrade as last resort. that release is fairly new and may be unstable for other games/software you may have.
And if you have a factory OC GPU try set it to debug mode in nvidia control panel. It removes the OC.
