I was able to avoid this problem after completely quitting the game and restarting it. I cannot reproduce this problem as the droid is defeated and will not respawn. Problem solved!

I was able to avoid this problem after completely quitting the game and restarting it. I cannot reproduce this problem as the droid is defeated and will not respawn. Problem solved!
FWIW I got past this issue by the following. No idea if I had to do all of it:
- Load game
- Continue
- Spawn on the platform across from the room connected to the wookie prison with the security droid
- Meditate and rest
- Cross and run into the droid room without fighting anybody
- stuck in the room, Quit to Title Screen
- Continue again
- Spawn
- DO NOT MEDITATE AND REST (this was the only thing I hadn't done 20 times already and was literally the last thing I was going to try)
- Cross and run through the room without fighting anybody
At this point the droid was standing at the far end of the room, and after defeating it I was able to interact with the console and continue the game.
