The way I dealt with dodging, I left it bound to Z, but I have a Microsoft Sculpt mouse, and the included software lets you macro the 4th button - I have it press Z twice with 20ms in between. So I have a separate roll key. it works pretty well. I'm sure there is some freeware app that lets you do that. My mouse also has an extra Windows key that drives me crazy when I'm playing, another reason I disabled it.

My (Logitech G502) mouse is also set up for dodge and roll. However, it is still very flaky. Hence, my comments.
