Latency Issues

I just updated to the outer rim patch. I never once had latency issues till now with this game. Is there some magic setting or have you guys messed with matching players to regions? I have tried switching the region selector to US East. This has done nothing. Would like some help if someone knows. All other games I play on pc work just fine besides this one.
