Legacy controls for Battlefront for xbox one not working

I just bought Battlefront for the xbox one.  When switching to the Legacy control scheme the left thumbstick won't work.  My character will very slowly turn left or right and that is it.  Is there so...

Yea, that is pretty much the suck. Right now, I can only afford this game, at least for a few more weeks.
