No I play on PC only actually. I've never felt comfortable with gamepads, but I didn't start gaming until 2001 or so and started with a keyboard and mouse.
I happen to be 61 myself btw, nearly 62 now, so I know what you mean about lost reflexes, eyesight, and dexterity, especially when I try playing on a gamepad.
It was a bit awkward double tapping to evade, but I managed somehow to beat it even on Grand Master. I gotta say though, it helps immensely to build up all the stims, skills, and life and force essences.
Sorry for the delay. I should have replied sooner. But, you were absolutely right - after escaping Dathomir, you head to IIum, yes, with a broken lightsaber. I must be brain-dead, but I somehow didn't realize I had to go to the Jedi Temple to fix it. I finally watched a walkthrough of that part of the game and realized my mistake. So now I feel like an idiot for reporting a false bug. Oh well...I'm back to loving the game again! BTW, you are a really good gamer and I'm impressed. Beating this game on Grand Master is no joke...I couldn't do it without getting really frustrated.
With my current abilities, Jedi Knight if just fine. Keep Gaming my friend!!!

Like I said, it helps a TON to get all the stims, skills, and life and force essences you can. When you lack the reflexes and dexterity of a teenager, that is essential on higher difficulty modes.
That said, the final boss fight still took me several tries on Grand Master. My resolve was to be more aggressive vs sitting back and hoping to evade every attack.
