Logitech X-56 throttle not working

The throttle on Logitech X-56 HOTAS does appear to work in game (all works fine in Elite Dangers, so the hardware is good).

The flight customisation controls recognises that there is a throttle (Or second stick as it seems to recognise it) but the game doesnt register any movement of the throttle, either in game or when trying to remap.  It also seems unable to register any button presses at all.

I think the fact that there are two sticks plugged in seems to confuse the game.

  • I had switch my set upp like this to get my throttle like the below photo to get it to work. @DrStrangeLug

  • Hi, thanks for replying.

That link doesnt work, it appears to be an EA slack image link.

I am having the same type of issue.  Played the game for a week with Thrustmaster hotas wrathog stick and throttle with thrustmaster rudder pedals then all stopeed woring.  I can go in and change all of my settings and use the stick in the hangar but when gameplay starts everything is deas.  I cannoit even use my keyboard or mouse.

  • Thanks for that.

I tried the solution and it worked great, except I had to remap nearly everything because stick 1 was now stick 2 and stick 2 was now stick 1.

Just need to reprogram my muscle memory from Elite Dangerous now.  Wish the SHIELD/ENG/WEP directions were the same.....

@DrStrangeLug Yeah that’s the pain, I had to do the same remap literally everything. Playing single player was interesting to figure out what everything was when for example Click 1 - 42 to continue.

  • I am having issues with the throttle also,   the joystick of the X56 works great,  the throttle when i move to increase speed or slow down, it starts activating everthing  like landing gear, map,  weapons, and then just goes nuts,    Is there a place to get these things looked at and fixed?
