Main objective glitch

What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens, won’t let you continue
What do you expect to see? I expect the mission to continue since I’m where it says to go

On chapter 3, there is a main objective that tells you to head back to your ship. I go all the way back to my ship and then nothing happens and the mission isn’t registering that I’ve made it back already. So now my main story will not continue. How do I get passed this. I’ve tried dying, restarting the game and going to a different world but the main objective is still telling me to go to my ship! I’m at the ship!!! Makes zero sense.
