Hi @RCM_Vayne
Practically speaking, it's not really a big deal. Gamers who want to talk to their fellow players have various options at their disposal, and Origin itself supports it, although I believe that's only good for people in your friends list.
Besides connecting you to great games, Origin also keeps you connected with your friends. Whether you want to sync up to coordinate during an intense game, or simply get in touch to catch up on the latest news, you can do so by initiating a chat session. Best of all, you have multiple options when it comes to communication, including chat rooms, voice chat sessions, and one-on-one conversations.

My opinion😇
Actually is a better game without Chat. The option might have been nice but I/you or others can let the kids play it without worry about random as👿s and keyboard commandos swearing at them or ganging up on them.
In my opinion, chat would hurt the game more than help it and I am glad that they left it out.🤞
I have no friends that play the game because they believe it's become so lousy that they've been discouraged (I'm slowly getting there). I know how to open a chat session but the people I invite while playing the game don't accept. It's the tactical modes (Droid Run, Drop Pod, Heroes vs Villains) that would do better with a toggle option for in game chat. So if players don't want to chat they can turn it off. However for players that do, it'll not only make the game more fun, but also give the mode a better advantage. as for kids and their BS simply mute them or toggle the chat off so you don't have to hear them.
