Seriously?
I have the exact same bug - the shuttles all undock, and then all 3 just mysteriously blow up.
It didn't happen every time for me... or at least, it didn't until I tried to get the "Enduring Service Medal" on Ace difficulty. Now, it seems like every time I get that far, it happens. So maybe something about the game reset when you die fixes it?
