Mouse sensitivity and free look

I've been using mouse + kb to play and I've been trying all sorts of sensitivity settings to make it fit my playing style.
I've concluded to setting the sensitivity bar all the way down as it makes flying more fluid.

My main problem is that the sensitivity is tied to the rate at which your pilot's head moves around in free look and during the campaign hangar/briefing/dialogue screens.

It is infuriatingly slow when the mouse sensitivity is set to 0. 

Is there any way to add a different sensitivity bar for the free look option and separate it from the flight scheme?  I am refraining from replaying the campaign because getting through all the compulsory dialogue means I have to drag the mouse all around the room just to look at the characters I'm supposed to talk to.
