Native Oculus Support Update Crippled VR

    Had the same problem found 2 options that do the same thing

    try this...


    Open Task Manager in Widows (r-click task bar on desktop and choose it from dropdown)

    end task for these :

    OVR Redir

    OVR Service Launcher
    OVRServer_x64.exe

    close Task Manager

    Run game from steam 

    hopefully, it should work for you now

    alternatively use the OculusDebugTool.exe (run as Administrator)

    found in (for me) C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-diagnostics

    in top menubar click Service then click Stop Oculus Service

    close the window

    Run game from steam

@NightsEye Hey that seemed to work, thanks! Though i should note for anyone checking this in the future that I had to 'toggle' into VR from the options menu after it was sucessfully launched on the desktop.
