Comments about whether or not something is 'Canon' is irrelevant IMO.
It's a video game, if you start limiting your possibilities because of Canon then you're not making the best game possible.
They don't need to go completely off the rails but adding a red lightsaber purely as a cosmetic choice shouldn't be an issue because the story and cutscenes don't reference or recognise the colour of it anyway
@ChickaChickaaaatoo bad you think they're irrelevant because they're not - Disney has a stipulation that EA can't put stuff in their games that contradicts lore. Jedi using red and black sabers contradicts lore. It's not a matter of opinion - it's a matter of it simply cannot happen because that's what the overlords at Disney have decided.

They created their own canon by introducing completely new characters, so they can theoretically do what they want as no one has written in stone what these characters are meant to use or act like.
Cere uses a red lightsaber at the end of the game
- 6 years ago@ChickaChickaaaa Cere using a red lightsaber for 2 minutes as she's falling to the dark side is hardly out of line with canon. Cere also isn't a Jedi anymore, as per her own words.
Cal is a Jedi. Jedi don't use red lightsabers. Cal was almost overtaken by the dark side for event touching that tainted saber.
If u know anything about canon, you know the only way to make a red ligthsaber is to bleed to the Kyber crystal, which is an evil Sith action. Cal wouldn't do that.- 6 years ago@jmordreddev I just beat the game myself and I don't think it was almost falling to the darkside. It was Cals ability to see things in an objects past when he touches it and he was overwhelmed by the memories. I honestly forgot about that ability of his when that happened since its not in many cutscenes.
