New Patch Slower Performance

The New Patch made the performance much slower than before in terms of stuttering and when loading new areas. Does anybody else have that problem?

Thank you

  • I currently have the game running with Dynamic Resolution Scaling on and i'm getting a pretty consistent 60fps. However if I quit out of the game then go back in, my frame rate tanks to 25-30fps. The dynamic resolution option is on but it seems to break after restarting, causing me to have to turn it on and off a few times before it works properly. Is anyone else running into this problem? This is with the latest patch installed.

  • I have the same problem. Before the new patch, the game run fine and max settings. After the patch, the game is very slow. I even tried running on the lowest video settings and it's still slow.

For example, from standstill, you try and move forward, or turn, and it's like the game responds 1 second later, and the frame rate is very low.

So I just found out how to fix it temporarily. After restarting the game you have to change your max FPS from 60 to 30, go back in game, then change the fps back to 60 then it will run correctly. It seems like the dynamic resolution is targeting 30fps regardless of settings after a restart.

Game is still so bad for me. I don't know what to do at this point. FPS drops constantly. Even a couple. I tried turning everything down to medium, high, epic. It doesn't seem to matter tbh. Really love the game but the tech issues are awful.

  • Spoiler
I manually  downloaded the latest Nvidia driver and installed it, plus run a repair via Origin for the game. It fixed my problem and now the game run smooth again
  • I used to game at 4K Epic with pretty steady 60 fps, but after the patch, I now get 20 fps and the game's completely unplayable. Changing resolution or graphics settings don't make any difference. The only thing that changes is the GPU utilization, at 4K Epic it's only 40 % (used to be close to 100%) and drops to 10 % with 1080p Low. CPU load seems to be constantly at 40 %. Regardless of the settings, FPS hovers around 20-25 FPS. I've tried reinstalling the game, different GeForce drivers, tricks from Youtube to no avail. Something in the game is badly broken. My rig is 4770K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 gigs of RAM and 2080 Ti.
