Option to have Battlefield like controls for PC?

Not sure if I just got used to Battlfield flying controls or if it's just naturally intuitive, but I find that I can actually execute maneuvers I want to do with BF flying controls much better than I can on Squadrons flying controls. I think it comes down mainly on the Rolling and Yawing inputs. I think if Rolling was controlled by right and left Mouse movements  and Yawing was controlled by A and D it would be much more natural-feeling! Hopefully this gets attention and can be implemented??

    @theCrazyRooster Battlefield 5's flight controls were/are probably the most unintuitive, unnatural of any game.

    In Battlefield 5, you roll by moving your mouse left or right, which makes no sense whatsoever.

    I played War Thunder and other flight games for many hours, but Battlefield 5's flight controls were so indescribably unnatural I completely, immediately ignored planes in the game altogether and played only as a soldier.

    The only problem with Star Wars Squadrons mouse and keyboard controls is the awful oversteer etc. It's hard to aim accurately and steady. Also, I really don't understand why the R and F keys aren't used for thrusting up and down.

    That x 10. Exactly what I've been thinking. Everything else is fine more or less.

    The other difference with XvT / XWA is that moving the stick left and right in those games actually did a *combo* of yaw and roll. It did a natural bank turn, rather than a flat yaw turn like seems to happen in this game. So I've been just adding in some roll with the joystick twist to do the turns I would have normally done without the mis-named "rudder" function of XWA. What I did used to use the XWA "rudder" for was to add *opposite* roll to a tight turn, which sort of flattened it out and snapped you around very tight. I miss that.

    But anyway, I wouldn't expect Squadrons to have all the same details as XWA. But I do wish it didn't have that built-in need to counter-steer as you arrive at your desired heading. Seems like it just makes it harder to control your craft on purpose, so that only the super-talented can calculate the needed adjustment via instinct perhaps, I don't know. I just want the ship to point where I point it!

    I suppose there could be a "realism" factor involved, supposing the maneuvering thrusters need time to straighten out. But I would think with very advanced technology, those adjustments could happen lightning fast, as you straighten the controls. (I am glad, by the way, that we didn't get realistic about velocity, and that throttling down still puts on the brakes!)
