PC
Hi all. I am running around in circles with this problem and it's driving me insane - hope someone out there can help!
Background.
Bought Star Wars Battlefront Nov 2015 - all ok no problem - game worked fine.
Feb 2016 built new PC with Windows 10 - reinstalled origin and games (Origin is C: drive -program files, games stored on different SSD drive).
Steam games all ok.
Origin games all ok - apart from Star Wars Battlefront.
Problems
1. On the My Games page, when the Star Wars box art is clicked it says 'play this game while it downloads' (See attached). This despite the fact it's been installed and reinstalled many times. None of my other games shows this when clicked apart from FIFA 16 (which still works ok).
2. Sometimes when I start the game it will either show the picture of Darth Vader and then enter the minigame with the status bar displaying during the mini game stating game is installing but it always stays at 0%.
3. Sometime it will launch 'properly' with the Lucasfilm logo,music etc and into the opening animation of R2D2 or one of the other opening animations. So far so good then into the main menu and BANG, everything is into super slow motion, selecting to play multiplayer or missions will take a minute to be able to select, the animation stutters. When I have tried playing when it's like this it's like watching a DVD using frame by frame mode but slower.
4. Also at the same time as I get to the main menu the game fails to connect me to the servers saying I need to connect. When I try and connect it tells me that my EA account needs to be online etc.
Attempted 'Fixes'
Origin
1. Reinstalled the game and Origin client
2. Repair Game
3. Tried the -novid-noborder-windows command line and disable Origin in game
4. EA Help - tried but weren't able to although not done the trace thing yet.
Windows 10
1.Run the game as administrator
2. Troubleshoot compatibility issues.
3. Lowered graphics setting even though PC can handle more graphically intensive games than this.
The most annoying thing is that every once in a while one of the above attempted fixesseems to have worked and the game starts up and works perfectly! it connects online automatically, main menu is fine (animations smooth etc) and can play the game as meant to BUT this has only happened 3 or 4 times in the last month (having tried on average once or twice a night trying various fixes -see above). Just when I think a fix has worked, when I try and start the game next time - same old problems.
I have not listed PC specs as all other games are fine and even this one has worked occasionally so assume it's not a hardware issue.
I hope I have not left anything out but probably have -so apologies in advance.
Hope someone will see this and thinks 'That's exactly the same problem I had and all I had to do was.......................................................and it's worked great ever since!' and lets me know what they did.

I don't know which post to click on as the solution.
Without the CBS fix - I'm not sure the Clean Boot would have worked properly and without the Clean Boot fix I wouldn't have identified the GameFirst programme!
Can I click on 2 posts as 'solutions'? I don't want to deny either of you credit for the solution as your combined efforts solved the problem!
What should I do?
