    I had the same issue and found that reverting to default controls fixed it. I was able to switch them back to my preferred setup after leaving the hangar and was able to play the rest of the game

Same issue here (but on XBox One S). When prompted to increase engine power nothing happens when pressing the requested button. 
At first I was able to finish the entire story mode once, but upon restarting the story the prologue gets stuck.
