I would say that you should not only get your group to try to contact EA on a different platform. You should make an effort to actively participate in the game’s current community.

One of the things that can help bring attention to this game is an event, a tournament, a charity event, etc. There is already a body that does this: the Squadrons Esports Federation (SEF). I completely understand that 90% of the current competitive playerbase has been playing this game non-stop since release, so joining currently well-populated events, while encouraged, may be daunting from a skill-gap standpoint.

If I were you all, I would reach out to the SEF on Discord for advice (and access to our very experienced pool of casters for streaming games) on what types of events are good for this game, bracket/match formatting, and mods (if desired/needed). Advertise the event, ensure that there are prizes, and hope for the best.

Concentrate on making any event attractive to and accessible for new(er) players. Encourage the current competitive community to limit their participation to advisory roles (to help ensure good matchmaking/seeding).

When you can’t get EA’s attention, try to get the gaming community’s. EA may have its interest piqued if there’s a sudden resurgence in popularity.

I am sure a small team could handle the update pretty quick and add higher details from the pc version. As far as I know ps5 version is ps4 version?

Story Dlcs would also be very easy compared to other games. After all it's mostly radio chatter and space. No high detail world's to fly through or mocap animation.

That way we could keep playing until a sequel is made. Hopefully with more content and dlcs.

You won't find them here. This forum, regarding this game, has been relegated to helping customers resolve technical errors that already have established working solutions, nothing more. To me, there are more fundemental things that need to be fixed about this game than a PSVR 2 port/conversion, but if, by some small minor miracle, you can convince someone to do that, then I don't know, friends. Maybe that door can be used to give the game so much-needed care.

I have multiple copies of this game and play on VR on my PC and it really makes this next level! Recently got PSVR2 as well and it's another great headset that I can use for some PlayStation exclusives but even though Squadrons was included in PS Essentials it's only PS4 copy that doesn't support VR2... After getting a wheel and playing Gran Turismo 7 in VR I'd give anything to have a similar experience for Squadrons. I'd pay for this game AGAIN if it had VR2 so make it happen! Happy New Years!
