Re: Can’t bind keys

@Bobajobbobxbob I agree and its frustrating considering how bad its been implemented. However it is possible to rebind all the keys in this game. You need a little persistence tho when doing it.

Try this:

Choose whatever you want to bind with left mouse or enter key so the text "hold button...." appears.

Then double click with the key you want to bind but the second click should not be released but held until you see the progress bar have gone all the way up and the text changes to the key you have pressed. That should bind the key.

Just keep trying until it works.

If it doesnt work at all after a few tries then use your left mouse button and do the double click method above until you see the bar, then release before the left mouse has been bound.

Then click and hold the key you want to bind or use the double click method.

You may need to do this more than once before the key is bound but normally it happens after the first try. But important that you press the key you want to bind long enough at once you see the progress bar appear.

  • Thanks, I’ll give that a try. I think I may have already stumbled on some of the technique  through my own clumsy tinkering but I am still struggling on two of my mouse buttons. It is absolutely incredible that a high profile game like this can be released with such an obvious problem.  Having said that it is not quite as bad as Red Dead 2 where it really is impossible to customise the controls.
