Which part of the game is the issue happening in? Fleet Battles
What were you doing when the bug occurred? Step by Step detail is helpful. I was flying toward a friendly Frigate and was killed by a bomber pursuing me. Unlike OP, I don't recall any indication the game froze momentarily before/during the death.
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. This issue has happened in multiple locations in the middle of Fleet Battles maps.

How often does the bug occur? I've had this happen on 3 of my 12 Ranked Fleet Battles matches
How severe is your issue? Can't play, almost certainly results in loss for teammates and myself due to putting my team down a player for the rest of the match
What happens when the bug occurs? I don't think the kill replay played -- it just kept showing me the spot in space in front of the frigate (and then empty space once it died later). The "Ready" keybind was unresponsive on both my stick and k/m. I could go in and rebind the control, and still no effect. All menu functions (looking at the scoreboard, the tactical map, navigating the options menus, etc.) functioned normally, just no option to ready or change ships. The game should know I'm dead, as the respawn counter counts down and then stays at 0.
What do you expect to see? The kill cam and then the tactical map automatically come up (vs. me having to hit escape to see it) and the respawn prompt.
Which ship were you playing? X-Wing, though it's also happened in a TIE Bomber and TIE Reaper for me.
What components were you using? Burst cannons, repair droid, concussion missiles, seeker countermeasures, standard hull and shields, SLAM engines.
Which customizations (if any) were you using? Pre-order X-Wing skin, Duro head, blue accent original X-Wing style helmet.
