yes there is and it is a wow type game. destiny 2 is free and WoW allows you to play until level 12 or something for free. go play both and you will see that destiny2 looter shooter is nothing like world of warcraft and star wars the old republic (knights of the old republic is an old single player game and not online at all). im talking about something more like destiny 2 than WoW. something people who want to mouse keys can play like an fps and others who want controller can play with that. WoW is an mmo rpg but its slow paced, and cartoony graphics. and you need two keyboards to play it properly lol with so many abilities needing to be assigned.
the old republic also has the nasty problem of registration, where it tells you to create an account then asks you to log in - and give a password you had nowhere to set. i had that issue for a long time before trying again, and it finally sent a password, and i didnt really enjoy it. destiny 2 i could play with a controller which means my arthritis in my hands is less of an issue, and its faster paced and all round more fun until they ripped the guts out of the gameplay systems with 'gear sunsetting'. so long as EA dont make that mistake, of having a system where you work on gear getting what weps you like and armour that looks good - then suddenly making it all past an arbitrary sell by date to force you to just use whatever dropped for a while (even if you HATE using it, which is my second problem with the new sunsetting in d2) then they will likely see a lot of people migrate.
this will make me happy, having a destiny style shooter mmo set in the star wars universe. it will make a lot of the destisnobs happy having their little niche game that only they and 300 others can play, until bungie pull the plug on the non-profitable game, and produce destiny 3 of course. by then of course many people will be playing the star wars equivalent of destiny.
though in fairness i suppose they may worry it will finally kill off old republic through being a million times faster paced, and based more around gunplay, light sabers and gear than in character levelling, gear and starting character role and 600 abilities needing key assignments.
