Sorry for being late to the party..
Text and audio will be localized in English, French, German, Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, and Japanese. Text-only will be localized in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong and Taiwan), and Korean.
Yes, we know that... but again... CAN we change language in game menu options? Can we choose to play, for example. English audio + polish subtitles, French audio + english subtitles, Polish audio + russian subtitles etc etc...

You can play the game in English with localized subtitles. Here's how you do that:
- Make sure your console language is in English
- In-game, go to the Options menu and choose your language for text
- It's not possible to change the audio language from the options menu
This works for both Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
And that's something I have been waiting for. Good we can change language on consoles, but I see PC version will stuck with language lock. That's sad.
In Origin Store you can find that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order in Poland has Polish, English and Russian languages. So maybe there is a hope that you will could choose English language for instalation and change subtitles to Polish in in-game options?
- @Kamil950PL If you go to your game library select the game, go to game properties, change the language, then you run the game. In game you can go to subtitles definitions an activate the subtitles of your language. That solved for me because im portuguese. Now i cant play with original audio and portuguese subtitles
- @Grzesi0_o I also had the same problem. Because im Portuguese, the game automatically installed a Portuguese audio in the game. It was very bad.
So what i did was...
Opened Origin Launcher. Went to .My Library. Selected the game. Went To Settings and changed the game language.
The Launcher then does a fast download on some files.
and then i was ready to play with the original audio!!
To optimize the experience, i went to the in game definitions, and activated subtitles * in this case Portuguese* .
And there it is. Hope this helps you some way. I've tried changing my PS4 to English (UK and US) and my game is still in portuguese
- @Straatford87 How I set the game in French?
Why do you do that???? Just give us the option to change the audio.
what about steam wersion? i cant change the lauguage on steam, well technically i can but it does nothing. if its not possiblr im going for a refound.
J’ai trouvé ! Met ta console en français de France plutôt que français canada
- @Cryptorum Thanks so much, man. U just saved my life from bad brazilian portuguese translation
I'm portuguese too can I do that on the xbox too?

Hey folks!
I'm just going to ninja jump in here and request if you do have any feedback about playing the game in your native language, to be sure and let us know about it via our localization surveys. It will help us give you the best experience if you're playing a localized version of our games.
Cheers!

For those who are trying to change language on pc, go to origin and select “My Game Library” and right click on Jedi fallen order, then select game properties and go under “Advanced launch options” and change the language to the one you prefer under “game language” and save. Origin will start a download (short) of the new language and there you go.
- @LenyDrake37 Thank you so much!!!
Glad to help : )
- @Grzesi0_o no actually you can change the lang but you just need to wait for 2-3 seconds to see a language change after clicking on the arrow.
I dont know if you solved this problem over there but i manage to solve it over here. You have to delete the game's "saved data" (NOT THE GAME) from the console and do what the EA guy oriented.
The path in PS4 is: settings/storage/system storage/saved data. Then you wil see the saved data for the game and you can delete it.
After that, you set the language to your chosen one (English in this case) and restart the game. You should be allright after now..
(((((But remember, if you choose to do this, YOU WILL LOSE ALL OF YOUR PREVIOUS PROGRESS. It would be like you are starting the game for the first time!))))))
Note to EA:
THIS IS BULLCRAP MAN! Why make us go for all this trouble?!?!?!?! Seriously, sometimes it seems like EA LIKES to be de bad guy and make our lifes more difficult!Hello, just a further clarification:
I received Fallen Order as a xmas present for Xbox One, although for error it was bought in German localization.
Would the method you posted still valid? I'm currently playing with my console language in Italian, as i'm from italy. Consequently, if I change the xbox language to English the game dialogue will change accordingly?
Otherwise I'll just have to return the game and buy an Italian version.
Doesn't work for me.
After going to "Advanced launch options" and selecting "English US" from the dropdown and pressing "Save", no download is done and if I go back to "Advanced launch options" the language is back to "Português Brasil".
Any help? I find the brazilian portuguese dub in this game horrendous.
Hi i had the exact same problem with my version of the game. I was trying to fix it for last 5 hours, but couldnt do anything (even editing regedit didnt help).
However i just found this post Can't change language on Battlefront 2 : origin (reddit.com)
It seems that the problem is caused by new version of origin. I just installed the older version from the link in the thread and it seems to fix the issue. I changed the language in game properties and it began to download new files so i guess it will work.
Hope our dear EA will fix this soon...
