Re: Lightsaber Throw - How do I activate it?

I figured out what is going on and I will share this for others who might have the same issue:

When you access your Skill Tree during Meditate, you have to actually activate each skill in order for it to work; it won't automatically activate just because you built up the Skill Points.  You do this by HOLDING A.  The circle for that skill in the Skill Tree will then turn solid white.

I kind of figured this out by accident and by watching my husband who was just beginning the game.  The brief notice at the beginning when you first access Meditate and Skill Tree, I evidently missed when I started the game.

Anyway, I now have full access to Lightsaber Throw.  Hope this info helps others too.

This being my first XBox, it wasn't obvious for me.  But I figured it out and completed the game.

It has more to do with your not being familiar with very common game design where skills are involved, than any specific platform, as that design and player use of it is the same across all platforms.

It's also pretty easy for most to figure out, as the skill tree clearly explains what button/key to press to activate the skill. Some might pause at first and wonder why a mere button/key press doesn't activate it, but once you get to know that many things in the game, including the menu, require holding the button/key down, it should in fact be obvious, like I said, even if it's your first time playing such a game.

    Mary,

    Thank you for your comment.

I think it's a good reminder that seemingly simple or common things in games aren't so for everyone. A good reminder to veteran players (like myself) to assist fellow players who may be less experienced or not familiar with certain game mechanics.

In the meantime I hope you're enjoying the game. Would love to hear about your experience so far! :-)
