Re: Movie Dogfights

i do agree, i once posted about it.

The speeds are so slow that evasive maneuvers are almost useless and outright suicidal sometimes. I would say only increase the base max speed by 50% or more, without changing acceleration or maneuverability

  • @KilroyWH78 Nah I say super buff everything. I want it to feel like a real space fighter. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun, but my car feels faster than these ships. Make me feel like poe Dameron
  • @KilroyWH78 They are suicidal in certain situations, but against turrets and heavy cruisers and missles, your got a chance. You shouldnt have to dumb down ai and power of the ship to be defensive/ offensive. i feel the maneuverability is perfect for faster speeds, unless you have a thrust complex where you are stuck in hyper over drive. Thru terrain, this is where you moderate your speed and use optimal judgement. Also, you can take out the overdrive boosters except for modded engines and just have accelerator overdrive boosters foring reach top speed for topped out engine adjustments, which will make drag drifting a thing for most half the fighters.. Star wars is all about danger and that is the way.

@DumbsterJedi I think thirty percent will make the difference we seek, and I feel the same way. Its a real loss to see these things go so slow. They couldnt do what was intended in the movies every time since they were after targets, which would require steady speed for certain ships with slower maneuvering. Also landing and docking were a factor of not wrecking. This Im sure everything will fall in place and there will be such minor adjustments to make like stepping up/ down the guns/ shields like maybe just turrets or dampening the shields, which are already pretty low for some if not all base ships.
