Whilst you can drop your engines pretty fast, i'm not sure its quite instant.

I have no idea of the maneuver names but you can pull some hard U-turns with an engine drop, just don't try it with m/kb as it looks like your grating cheese lol.

You have probably seen a couple cool maneuvers on the latest CG Short film that you can actually pull off.
