I don't think at all that it is a problem with my internet connection, as I was able to play a game after several hours of waiting, and I watched as players joined at a rate of around one per 10 minutes, so I doubt losing connection is the cause.

Sorry, I can't help you. I'm in Brazil and the problem is the same. All I know is Dice Developers are trying to fix this issue.
