Re: Switch to battlefront 2?

Thanks for the reply.  I play on Xbox. I've tried BF2 but maybe haven't got used to it yet. My daughter loves it. I've only played a few times, but at the most basic level, I've had a hard time getting used to stuff like how much life I have. I don't like the graphic set up vs BF1.  I also don't like not having a jump back and other options, but maybe just haven't played enough to figure it all out. At my age (52), I don't have a lot of time to invest in learning a new game. But maybe with my daughter's help I can get there.

I turn 51 in April, and I'm in BF2 almost every day. Might be the reason I get my arse kicked, because I'm playing against kids literally half my age. My reflexes have dimmed since fighting off that bat in Adventure for the 2600

So is BF2 a little less of constant moving, rolling and shooting? You mentioned less shooting from the hip.  Part of my problem is that my brain and fingers can't work fast enough to keep up! I do think it's good for my brain though as I'm more of an analytical thinker, pondering kind of guy so BF1 forces me to think much more quickly. I'd probably be better as a sniper. But in BF1 if you sit too long in one spot, you're dead.

Probably one of the reasons I prefer Specialist class is I don't have to "run and gun" so much and rely on reflexes. I can scope people out and have fun like that. My MAJOR issue with BF2 is there are no Infantry only modes like Blast in BF1. So you have tons of spammers running around with rocket launchers and 5x your health and you don't last very long as an Infantry unit.

to directly answer your question, it depends on your style of play. you can race around like a manic diving and rolling (or jumping up and around, but nobody like players like that) or you can be more strategic and stay back and pick people off. But if you DARE shoot at a reinforcement character, they will go right after you immediately

I'm 51 too but I'm holding my own still.  Playing more BF5 and Battefront 2 at the moment.  Gotta keep up with the kids

Do you know if aim assist works in multiplayer on the xbox? I've tried it in arcade style games and it works but it doesn't seem to work in multiplayer. My aim is really bad so the aim assist would really help me.
