DICE TeamHey, @NerscyllaDentata make sure that all drivers for windows are up to date.
You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Squadrons and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.
Worth to reinstall the GPU drivers for your PC.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'd tried most of these steps already but re-attempted with no success.
Although it did not originally fix the issue, I did find that setting the game to fullscreen instead of windowed cuts the resource use by half. The problem still persists in windowed mode but I am able to run it fine otherwise.
ve found a workaround for the 100% cpu usage
On power option's if you have selected balanced select "change advanced power settings"
On processor power management select maximum processor state and change to 95%
Now my max temp is 36-38c on an AMD FX8320 before this computer would reboot
