FOR ANYONE WHO GETS THIS PROBLEM

I HAD THE PROBLEM FOR A MONTH

FINALLY SOLVED IT

when downloading, at 47% i would get

"error: a redistributable package (DirectX) was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue (4294967287)."

a bunch of people with this same error for Apex legends said delete files in folder x and then restart bla bla bla,

Didn't work.

what DID work is

delete all fallen order files. the whole lot, get rid of it.

create another windows account, administrator.

CLOSE origin in your MAIN windows account

because it can't be open on 2 profiles at once

ctrl alt delete, and select SWITCH USER, (NOT i repeat NOT sign out, other wise all your applications will close.)

so with switch user, you sign into account you just created, open origin, begin the install.

you can then ctrl alt delete + switch user BACK to your main account, the download will proceed and finish, no error.

you can now play the game on your main windows account, and can delete the 2nd windows account if you wish.
