Server timing out between briefing and launch

I cant play ranked fleet battles, loads the game and then error 218 right before the game starts

I keep running into Error 218 every time I join ranked fleet battles. The game will load and countdown but disconnect right as the game loads. Boots me back to the main screen and penalizes me for leaving mid game.

Is there a fix for this? Xbox

I write this topic because this problem is always here, event after few days.

So this is my problem :

First, I'm invite by a friend to join a squad. It works. BUT, when we want to launch a battle fleet against Bot, or in ranked, after I choose my Ship, I'm always kicked from the party to the main title,, but I'm still in the group. I cannot join, or even look the party that my friend is normally play. The ONLY thing that works is the Quick Battle.
I put a screen of the message when i'm kick. I'll translate in english for you :

"The level loading has expired and you have quit the game. Try Again."

"Error Code : 218"

Of course, when we launch a ranked game, I have the message who says "You quit a ranked game, so you'r on low priority for the next matchmaking."

More annoying, this happening when I try to launch a SOLO RANKED GAME fleet.

I've downloading the game on Origin, not on Steam. I've already check the updates for Easy Anti Cheat, and check my Malware shield.

That's my problem. Please, Ea, fix it.

I really like/love this game...I’ve beaten the campaign and from the 2 multiplayers modes I only have access to only one (dogfights)...this is not cool

I believe I found a solution to this, can't confirm for all platforms so this will be for xbox.

I had the game installed on an external drive which may be the root cause of the issue. I then moved the game to the consoles internal storage which seems to have fixed the problem and I can now play fleet battles

I recommend doing this if you also have the game installed on an external device. 

For PC, other users suggest having a fast hard drive or ssd, but I can't confirm if this is a solution for pc users. 

Hopefully this helps, but I would suggest the devs increase the time the game requires to load before timing out as a blanket fix 

keep getting the same thing failed to load level and now permanent cheater flag that has not gone away after 6 dogfights so i didnt play for 2 days and its still there, guess imma just hafta take a pass, not playing something that forces competative mode that crashes and leaves you with a lifetime cheater tag
