Standard version allow access to DLC with 16 maps?

If I simply own the standard version of Battlefront, will I have access to the DLC that's coming in 2016? It doesn't need to be early or anything, just have access to it. Any sources are appreciative, too. Thanks,

Bob

  • Yes, but I think you have to buy the Season Pass. I know there will be free DLCs, but I don't know if those are the same from Season Pass (16 maps).

"Players don't have to spend any extra money to get more Battlefront content, however..." - my guess it is about Battle of Jakku, a free DLC. What I understood from gamespot site: the Season Pass costs $50, with 4 packs, maybe each one (pack) with 4 maps, 5 new itens, 1 additional hero/villain and 1 new game mode (single player?). And each single pack will probably cost $15; total = $60 (if we buy them one by one). But, if we buy the Season Pass ($50), we will get "access to all of this content two weeks before everyone else". We "also get an "exclusive" Shoot First emote." Confusing? Yes! 😃

Just to clarify things: You DO NOT get the future DLC that will be coming out unless you purchase them separately or purchase the Season Pass.  The added benefit of the Season Pass is the two weeks early access and it saves you money from purchasing the DLC separately.  Nobody would buy the Season Pass if they were going to give the DLC away for free.  Nobody is going to pay $50 just to play 2 weeks early.  They are paying because it is saving them money from purchasing separately, plus the bonus incentives.  Sorry, but if you want access to the DLC, you will need to buy them individually or purchase the Season Pass.  I didn't read the article, but I'm pretty sure GameStop was referring to the Battle of Jakku DLC that @Tuzy72 stated above.

Thank you both so much! One last question: If you buy the standard game AFTER all the DLC comes out...what then? Do you have access to the DLC since you bought the standard afterwards? Or would you have to buy the DLC even though it already came out? That should be the last question.
