It would certainly be a money maker for Lucas Arts and Origin if they seized this opportunity to give the new Star Wars Battle Front the same depth and scope as Star Citizen wants to become.
It would be fun to enter the world of Star Wars with all of the vision of Star Citizen, with grand ships, first person experiences and new galaxies to explore.
Or it could become a rival for Elite Dangerous, an in-depth space combat simulator with planet side landing abilities and space station support.
It would have been fun for those "pre-ordering" to have been invited into the beta as some compensation for the seven month wait, and certainly this would have provided a much better game upon release, but alas, we still have Star Citizen.
Origin has never been a real game market leader, just a game market follower purchasing more titles than they produce.
And here I have "another cloud game service" to keep track of, update and forum posts.
The one historic space saga which would have taken the market by storm, bows it's head to Star Citizen and it's $75M.
What a holiday season it would have been.

I think that's a risky statement. Star Citizen certainly looks like a massive game, but who knows how much money they'll make? I think Star Wars Batlefront will be successful because of brand recognition alone.
On a sidenote: LucasArts is not involved in the development of Battlefront, as far as I'm aware. The LucasArts studios have been closed several years ago and now they're only a label for Lucasfilm video game franchises.
